Business and Distributor Development Manager – Asia Pacific
Our well-established global client is a fast growing MNC organization supplying patented industrial products to over 40 countries. With markets in Asia, particularly in ASEAN steadily growing, our esteemed client wishes to invite motivated and suitably qualified candidates to join the management team for a newly created position of Regional Business and Distributor Development Manager.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager in the Head Office, you will be primarily responsible for facilitating the sustainable growth of the business in the Asia Pacific region. This is achieved by efficiently selecting, developing and maintaining Distributors. The incumbent will both contribute to strategy development and implement strategic plan, especially relating to the Asia Pacific sales channels. You will represent the company at corporate level to global multinational customers and partner closely with Distributors to train sales staff and meet customer needs.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
Although a degree is desirable, candidates with at least 10 years’ regional experience in technical sales and/or business development, especially those are bi-lingual with leadership in distributor management will be given preference.
Some of the personal attributes desired are strategic thinking, strong communication and negotiation skills, significant experience dealing with Asian cultures in conducting business, possession of personal network in the region, trustworthy with a clean police record, ability to perform under pressure, cope with setbacks, travel for significant of time doing visits, attending shows and interacting with customers. Must be and expert user in MS Office suite of business tools
