Job Description

This is a newly created role in APJC for the AWS TA team. We are looking for a strong IT analyst to work with HRIS and TA Analytics team in APJC, EMEA and Seattle. This person will connect back end systems to create unified reporting solutions that will support the Recruiting managers in the region. Currently there are multiple systems that the TA team is using and the person must be comfortable with dealing with ambiguity, have strength in Excel, BI tools and coding skills in order to create reports and visualistions from scratch.

Role Requirements
• Excellent command over Excel, Macros, Advanced Functions
• Coding skills in Java, VBA, Python or equivalent
• Ability to rich reporting including creating dashboards and visualisations of data sets
• Deep familiarity with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Cognos or equivalent
• A passion for understanding systems and being able to build tools/software to connect them via APIs
• Be a self-starter who takes initiative to work and develop holistic solutions
• A college degree or relevant coursework in Information Technology / Computer Science / Software Development
• Prior experience working in HR or recruiting field is a plus
• Ticketing and/or ITSM experience is a plus (Remedy preferred)

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Software Development
3+ years’ experience as a business analyst, data scientist or similar job function
2+ years’ experience using business intelligence reporting tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, SSAS Cubes, etc.)
2+ years’ Experience with Excel, Access, SQL, and Perl or other scripting languages

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or Master’s in a related field
Experience supporting small to medium sized projects involving complex data sets and high variability
Working knowledge of statistical methodologies
A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
