Guide and lead the Singapore R&D team to:
Design and implement new and existing software applications and products as prioritized
Apply Lean Theory via our agile development process to drive continuous improvement on:
Quality (including security)
productivity / delivery
Team (competency, morale)
Continually meet with customers to deeply understand their most difficult challenges as well as to leverage existing customer base for Voice of Customer feedback on usability and functionality of new features in advance of actual development of those features.
Work with Senior Architects within the business to define and implement a vision for applications and products that are robust, extensible, configurable and that effectively integrate into our overall Industrial Software Platform.
Drive “Lean Thinking” and associated practices to become cultural within the Singapore R&D Center, consistent with other Schneider Electric Software R&D Centers
Drive Built-in Quality via Global R&D best practices and a Quality-First mindset amongst all developers and testers
Create high performance feature development teams, actively enhance all developers skillsets / knowledge, and form a workplace where people not only want to come and work every day, but are also proud to invite their friends and industry peers
Maintain a pipeline of new talent though relationships with targeted learning institutions and industry networks
Prepare financial budget for your department and manage to it on a monthly basis
Assist in the provision of estimates for development of new applications and solutions
Be an active member of the R&D Leadership Team, providing input on strategy and leading execution / implementation throughout the organization
Actively manage Schneider Electric Software’s IP, promote patentable innovation, and support the patent application process to obtain new patents every year
Collaborate with Global Customer Support to resolve elevated issues and/or inquiries effectively and efficiently and increase installed base satisfaction as an integral part of the overall offer development process
Lead/ execute special projects as might be assigned over time
