To assist the team leads for management reporting and investment reporting in supporting Aviva’s diverse businesses in Singapore covering Life, Health and General insurance.
Responsible for monitoring the business performance against Plan and conducts business outlook analyses to alert management when significant deviations are observed/expected on a timely basis.
To assist the management reporting team lead in managing the quarterly projections and the 3-year strategic planning process to ensure attainment of the business goals.
Contribute to the production of papers to help keep key decision makers informed of issues that may become important in the medium to long term.
Managing key stakeholders including Aviva Asia Regional Office/Aviva Group Finance, Actuarial etc. to communicate the business/investment performance and strategic direction.
To assist the investment reporting team in the preparation of investment reports and quarterly RBC returns
Group Magnitude and Anaplan reporting (Sales and Expenses)
Monthly business-focused analysis of financial performance (sales, expenses and profits)
Channel performance monitoring reports
Management expense monitoring reports
Business forecasts and projections
Ad hoc reports based on Senior Management requirements.
Review of business performance of CDOs to assist Head in assessment of channel performance
To review and implement enhancements in the system and controls over business performance analysis methodology and management reporting processes.
Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Business / Economics
ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (part qualified)
CPA preferred (part qualified)
Good working knowledge of accounting and financial aspects. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Knowledge of insurance (or financial services) operations
Experience in Management accounting, financial analyst or financial planning and analysis experience gained in the financial services industry (preferably insurance).
