Join our team as our Senior Lobby Host in Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can

Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget and is aware of financial targets
Recycles where-ever possible and enforces cost saving measures to staff
Supervise cashiering activities during shift including:
Cash handling and banking procedure
Dealing with irregular payments
Instructing staff in credit policies and facilities
Instructing staff in cash security procedures
Carry out debtor control
Prepare reports
Supervise the cashiering system
Interacts with guests and individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to, current and potential clients, owning company representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community.
Supervise front office operations during assigned shift including:
Maintenance of guest information
Maintenance of information about local events
Compile occupancy statistics
Supervise the use of he public address system
Supervise group bookings
Assisting with serious complaints
Maintains intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures
Keeps abreast of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures
Maintains exemplary department standards of behaviour and appearance and attitude as expected in a IHG Brand
Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times
Endeavours to maintain the high standards of the hotel with particular regard to the importance of IHG Loyalty Program member and other VIP’s and with reference to hotel and to be a health or safety hazard
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

Qualifications
Requirements for this role

1. Diploma in Hotel Management or Tourism Management

2. At least 1 year experience in guest service or customer service in a hospitality industry

3. Experience in Front Office systems will be an advantage

4. Passionate about customer service in a hospitality environment

5. Passionate about coaching and developing team members

6. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

7. Have a vibrant personality

8. Excellent inter-personal skills
