You are responsible for
Acts on behalf of Procurement Engineering and Commodity Management for project or supplier related activities, ensuring relevant Procurement Engineer & Commodity Management team members are always informed and involved.
Ensures suppliers understand project requirements and deliver materials to project needs, communicates specifications and changes.
Implements change by incorporating global Philips Procurement programs and initiatives into site related project planning, execution and communication
Execute using the standardized processes, methodologies and tools to drive reliable and efficient program execution
Takes prompt and effective actions (incl. escalation) to mitigate Procurement and/or Supplier related issues and secure Supply
Demonstrates team work and effective cross-functional collaboration by sharing knowledge and information, updating others on project actions & status
Organizes all site related Supplier activities and communication according to the Supplier strategy and guidance provided by Supplier Account Managers
Identifies site-related process gaps against global process standards and initiates mitigation plans together with global Business Process owners/Business Process experts
Manage on time deliveries of parts during NPI & LCM projects (samples, prototypes, ramp up... note: project team responsible for order requisition via SRM, PO placement by Ops buyer or SSC)
Anticipates stakeholders information needs and defines respective local communication plans together with global topic owners
Actively tracks project results and updates relates Funnel measures
You are a part of
The Bigger Procurement Function, under the Direct Procurement pillar and directly supporting the Garment Care Business Unit, a big driver in our Philips Personal Health business. You will be part of a 7-man Procurement team, reporting into the Procurement Engineering Business Partner (Director) for Garment Care.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Supply Chain Management
8 – 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of proven track records in Procurement Engineering Project Management
Familiar with New Product Introduction projects; Supplier Evaluation projects
Possess deep knowledge of the long term structural cost drivers for an assigned product/category
Keeps up-to-date with developments in a major commodity market and the business context relevant to that market, and uses this to provide inputs to business planning and product development strategies.
Ability to stimulate significant impact on the bottom line of a Business. Drives improvements in total cost improvement in addition to BoM cost improvement.
