The Distribution Analyst acts as a trusted advisor to the Regional Planners to support the end-to-end strategy execution to the store/door level. They are responsible for executing product allocations to the store/door level.
Analyse retail trends in stores based on historical performance and rationalize forecast from cross-functional planners, to develop replenishment plans to optimize sell-through
Analyse and develop optimal safety stock in stores
Develop accurate inventory flow forecasts to support business strategies
Create and deployment plans for new stores, product launches and promo campaigns
Recommend and execute store-to-store transfers to optimize inventory
Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize inventory deployment – monetize new opportunities and identify risk
Ensuring availability of timely & accurate information of replenishment requirements & deployment plans for rest of weekly planning processes.
Preparing reports and analyzing reports
Aligning distribution plans across functions, and be aware of all product requirements - ensuring smooth transition during product changes.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
At least 4 years’ experience with 2 years relevant allocation/ distribution experience (preferably in a retail environment)
Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, internal Ace applications)
Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information
Outspoken and confident in presentation skills for conveying ideas and strategies to cross-functional partners
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong listening and interpersonal skills
