The business planning analyst will be part of the Global Planning & Analysis Asia Pacific team reporting to a manager based in Tokyo but the person himself/herself will be based in Singapore. The primary responsibility is to support our sales channels in forecasting, product allocations and sales analyses. The business planning analyst will be part of a team of 7 business planning analysts of the APAC region. The business planning analyst will primarily support our Korea and ASEAN sales channel.
The business planning analyst’s primary goal is to drive a timely, accurate and complete forecast to improve forecasting accuracy for Korea and ASEAN markets. The business planning analyst needs to work together closely with the sales team, marketing teams and APAC supply chain to make sure that all activities that impact sales are included in the forecast. A secondary goal is to optimally allocate products in times of scarcity to the channels and accounts. The third main responsibility is to support sales teams and product divisions with analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
The above requires close and strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders sometime even located in different locations such as in Korea, Japan and the USA. The business planning analyst must be able to work with a wide variety of information from marketing calendars to sell through information to information shared in different meetings. The person needs to be well organized and needs to stay on top of changes.
