The Hotel System Delivery (HSD) team supports centrally run Lodging partners such as Global Accounts & Key Accounts, Distribution Accounts, Central local accounts, etc. All HSD team members have a subset of dedicated accounts. The HSD global team handles the onboarding of new hotels in Expedia systems and the loading process of virtual products.
The team also assures the quality control of the data loaded. All HSD activities are highly scalable and processed in bulk using APM (Automatic Product Management tool) / SQL queries and other tools.

As a Hotel System Delivery Specialist, you will be the one-stop resource for all our internal and external partners at Expedia. You are responsible for maintaining the integrity of a large volume of lodging-related data; you will work to meet and exceed operational, technical, and merchandising needs of our customers. You'll have to analyze, diagnose and problem-solve lodging-related data challenges faced by Expedia and its partners with the ability to articulate and communicate.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the request assigned to them until completion; the specialist has to work closely with appropriate partners when required to achieve completion within SLAs.

Assist with Hotel, Product, Content, and Promotional loading, manage promo loading including DRR, discount tags and execute processes to monitor and source data to identify and deliver improvements to current data maintenance and provide feedback for to the global team to optimize automation and improve data integrity.

Manage all tasks and processes within established SLAs in an accurate manner and support partner requests for data and promptly resolve data related issues.

Participate in the global rollouts of new accounts and continuous acquisition process for existing accounts.

Make all required information available for internal partners to be able to track the status of onboarding, rollout and brand conversions and other processes handled by the Hotel System Delivery team. Liaise with all internal support groups to ensure all facets of Expedia’s Managed and Centrally Integrated Accounts are operationally sound.

Plan and complete regular and ad-hoc audit for accounts and projects as required. Implement processes to automate acquisition with the accounts to deliver these hotels to the market within established SLAs.

Qualifications:
Strong MS Excel skills using some of the index and reference functions like VLOOKUP; able to manipulate a basic pivot table, set-up basic validation controls, have a larger repertoire of formulae than a basic user, comfortable nesting the formulae they know and can use the online help to expand their knowledge.

Able to acquire the concept of data types, and text/number conversions, basic principles of good spreadsheet design, including formula consistency and avoiding embedded constants. Advanced use of pivot tables e.g., external data connections, or calculated fields, and develop a repertoire of “useful tricks.”

Proven analytical and decision-making skills.

Ability to develop positive relationships and work with internal and external partners.

Solid business insight, work management, and analytical skills.

Good interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills.

Proficiency in the Chinese language is required due to the significant amount of work and communication with business partners in China.

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:

Bachelor's Degree (Business or travel related field preferred).
