The candidate will lead a four person team that provides full service legal support for the Asia-Pacific region, with offices in China, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. The support is primarily transaction, HR, corporate and compliance legal support. Transaction support includes contract drafting, negotiation, and management. The candidate should have experience drafting and reviewing software licensing agreements. FCPA and export compliance experience is desirable. The person must be able to work independently and have strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills both in Mandarin and English. Background should demonstrate an attention to detail and experience in a role involving sensitive and confidential information. The position requires both direct responsibility for negotiating major contracts and providing training for the other members of the legal team. The candidate must be flexible in his/her approach to work in order to grow and succeed in a small legal department setting, and to be a key member of the company’s Asia-Pacific leadership team.

Graduate of a leading law school
Post Qualified Experience of 12+ years. 4+ years of work experience at an international law firm and 4+ years of relevant work experience in the legal department of a multinational technology, manufacturing or trading company, including experience negotiating software licensing agreements.
