As a Senior ERC Generalist, you will be the initial point of contact for all APAC employees and managers. You will be responsible for providing support intended to improve manager and employee success by addressing inquiries. The role requires a proactive approach in anticipating People Resources-related needs and a solutions oriented mindset to resolving issues. This is a critical role, as it is the face to the customer and will leave the first impression on the capabilities of the People Resources organization.
What you’ll do
Operate as Site HR (Singapore) and provide operational support where local responsibilities are needed. Partner with the HRBP on execution of organization strategy and country People & Teaming plan.
Provide support in executing organizational change management and communication activities fro the site.
Provide support on inquires / requests related to People Resource programs and policies including, but not limited to:
Employee Rewards and Benefits
Compensation and Promotion guidance
Development (New hire orientation/ new manager success)
Talent identification and Retention
Systems and Support
Employee Relations and Performance Coaching
Payroll (employee grievances)
Employee Records & Data
Provide resolution on non-core inquiries to mitigate escalations.
Conduct tools, process, and policy training for employees up through Sr. Manager level. Provide support and contribute in executing communication activities related to any new Tool introduction or policy.
Provides ER coaching to managers and manage first stage of performance cases as per complexity / case needs and also partner with the ER consultants around process improvements. Support involuntary separations, RIF and guide Managers on future courses of action in partnership with ER Consultant.
Coach Managers regarding documentation and proceedings associated with identified actions and review plans with Legal to ensure compliance with local requirements.
Conduct Small Group Meetings, Exit interviews and other employee pulse interventions.
Provide ongoing insights and trends based on inquiries managed.
Partner with Talent Development team in facilitating local training sessions on Individual, team and manager effectiveness through live or virtual sessions.
Identify and coordinate local vendors / co-facilitators to deliver training programs as necessary, in consultation with the COE.
Assist with onsite employee data audits in compliance with local legal requirements.
Use the case management tool for managing, tracking and resolving all queries.
Support M&A activities, as a member of the Core M&A team.
Proactively acts as a trustworthy and designated partner for Global and Regional projects.
What you need to succeed
6-8 years of working experience in the People Resources (HR) domain in an HR generalist role.
Knowledge of Singapore employment laws and practice
Prefer someone who can speak Chinese. Experience with Greater China will be an added advantage
Experience of working in matrix organisations
Experience in facilitating sessions/group meetings
Excellent communication skills
Should be good at employee relations
Proven strong problem solving capabilities for complex cases
Excellent Interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible
Good reasoning ability and sound judgment
High energy level, comfortable in multitasking
Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Should be familiar with documentation of employee issues
