Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute events and programmes developed under the aegis of the Legal Development Cluster’s various committees that include the Professional Affairs Committee (PAC), Promotion of Singapore Law (PSL) Committee and Awards Committees
• Organize activities (seminars, roundtables, focus group discussions, etc.) supporting primarily the PAC’s work and that of its various Chapters, in areas that impact the legal profession
• Assist and support Assistant Director, Legal Development in creating new and focused management programmes and to bring these programmes to market
• Support the PSL Manager in proposing and conducting familiarization programmes for overseas Judges and members of the business and legal fraternity who visit Singapore under the aegis of SAL’s Singapore Law Visitors Programme (SLVP)
• Monitor and manage publicity, application and award of a suite of professional recognition schemes offered to the members of the legal fraternity that include undergraduate scholarships, overseas attachments, essay prizes and Innovations and Ideas Scheme
• Manage Committee meetings through collating attendance, drafting meeting agenda for chairman’s approval, preparing meeting logistics, and following up on action points and activities
• As part of the Secretariat, act on the Committees’ and Chapters’ decisions and prepare reports and work plans of the Committees’ / Chapters’ initiatives
• Assist to manage and update information on SAL’s relevant digital platforms under the Cluster’s purview
• Work with design agencies to develop marketing materials in both print and electronic medium as and when required
• Liaise with vendors, contractors and members of the legal fraternity
• Support department’s activities and undertake other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma/degree in business, marketing or communications with work experience preferred
• Possess strong planning, organising, communication and business writing skills
• Meticulous, patient and attentive to detail, willing to learn
• Have initiative, enthusiasm, and able to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
• Outgoing and pleasant personality who enjoys being hands-on to get things done
• Have a good sense of timelines, deadlines and punctuality
• Have excellent Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of CRM tools as well as graphic design (e.g. PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
• Contract convertible to permanent
