3.Assist with the quality assurance testing of PPMS for S2A
4.Provide system support to PPMS users on general issues on production system
What you'll be doing
The IT Support Systems Analyst works closely with Business Analysts and the Programming and Application Development teams to analyse existing systems and use this to assist with the preparation of a functional requirements document, including context and system flowcharts.
They analyse the client requirements and ensure that the designed solution meets these requirements. They interact with clients to learn and document requirements that are then used to produce business requirements and highly specific project briefs.
He or she prepares the analysis model to achieve three primary objectives.
To describe what the customer requires.
To establish a basis for creation of software design.
To define a set of requirements that can be validated once the software is built.
Technical requirements and specifications
These individuals write user requirements into technical specifications and liaise between vendors and other information technology professionals to ensure the technical compatibility and user satisfaction with the recommended solution. They assist with the writing of technical requirements from a critical phase and assist Programmers during system development by providing use cases and flowcharts amongst other things.
The IT Support Systems Analyst plans a system flow from the ground up and will take responsibility for developing a costing analysis, design considerations and implementation timelines. They produce outline designs and the costs of new systems, specifying how the operating system will perform and the way data will be viewed by the end user.
He/she defines a set of requirements that can be established during earlier requirement engineering tasks and builds models that depict user scenarios, functional activities, problem classes and their relationships, system and classes’ behaviour and flow of data as it transformed. In early stages they focus on what and not how. They decide what objects the system should manipulate, the function the system should perform, the behaviour the system exhibits, what interfaces are defined and what constraints to apply. They provide all the design information and components to the Application Developer during the development process.
These individuals develop testing schedules and perform system testing throughout the development process and deploy the completed system.
They document user requirements and contribute to the development of user manuals.
The IT Support Systems Analyst assist with the training of users on the new or improved system as and when required.
The IT Support Systems Analyst displays good written and verbal communication skills. They display good interpersonal and client engagement ability and are able to interact with a variety of stakeholders effectively. They are good problem solvers and display the required levels of creativity and understanding of business processes to ensure the design of optimal systems.
