Supports the training initiatives throughout the Company to ensure the learning objectives and strategies are aligned to the company’s business needs and goals.
Performs needs assessments in a collaborative effort with functional leaders an process owners to define training needs and gaps.
Designs and implements live training activities for internal employees and possibly for external customers.
Partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) and training associates to ensure training content meets knowledge needs and gaps.
Utilizes best content resources to meet need and respect copyright and content ownership rights.
Facilitates collaborative distance-learning courses using blended learning methods and tools.
Co-ordinates with the learning management team to ensure training is functional and tracks to the employees training transcript/record.
Designs training specifications and objectives and develop internal training programs associated with assigned areas and subject matter.
Delivers internal training modules using best mediums to match subject matter and training objectives, including a use of training tools utilizing learning software and the application of appropriate learning principles, design techniques, and media.
Provides recommendations to “head of training” or designee, on developmental, assessment and delivery standards to ensure compliance with standards of accreditation agencies for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for internal and external training.
Develops training evaluations and assessments; tracks and produces reports and metrics associated with training activities and performance measures; documents as required.
Ensures all internal training modules are documented, up-to-date per training guidelines, and stored in the designated shared environment.
Assists in updating training documentation and files, conducting audits of training records, and training intranet site.
Initiates and participates in communications with other relevant training functions (HR, IT, etc.) to ensure synergy of the over-all training process and goal alignment.
Develops curriculum and internal staff development plans that align with defined competencies.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. May serve as lead trainer, as applicable. Schedules logistics for in-house training sessions as assigned. Participates as a member of a high performance team for targeted initiatives. Attends training and learning opportunities to broaden knowledge and expertise as requested. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
A.A/A.S. degree in Business, Organizational Development, Communication, Education, Science/health discipline or similar discipline or equivalent education and experience, plus minimal training experience, preferably in a corporate setting. Course development and delivery may require experience in specific functional areas and processes. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based management tools, and the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Experience in multi-media, e-learning, distance learning tools; training design methods; adult learning principles; and computer based training desired.
