JP Morgan FICC currently has an open role for Hermes Market Data support. This role will be accountable for providing the quality, timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness of all activities and deliverables as part of a global support team. The qualified individual must have exceptional troubleshooting skills and will be a member of a team that is accountable for implementing and maintaining a number of market data feeds that service various lines of business within JP Morgan CIB.

The individual must work well in a team environment and is responsible for efforts such as implementing production changes, communicating and interacting with lines of business on issues or outages, developing tools to streamline production support processes, providing to resolutions to production issues, guiding junior members in troubleshooting problems, among other responsibilities. This role will report to the global Production Management lead.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead in day-to-day efforts such as implementing production changes and providing to resolutions to production issues
Develop tools for ongoing improvement of production support processes, monitoring of market data platforms and stability of the market data infrastructure.
Communicate and interact efficiently with lines of business on issues or outages
Collaborate with other team members in resolving problems and mentor junior members of team in accomplishing project tasks and troubleshooting efforts.
Work closely with regional manager to ensure timely delivery of ongoing problems, projects and other outstanding tasks.

Work well under pressure to resolve production problems and incidents
Open to new approaches and follow through by effectively executing solutions.
Conduct follow-ups proactively on all activities to ensure completion of responsibilities in a timely manner
Define project plans, timelines, and key project milestones
Provide advice on and adhere to operational and technical standards, best practices, processes and procedures (problem/change/release/request/procurement management; incident/service/time reporting)
Accountable for implementing and maintaining service performance measurement and management tools/ processes to ensure that quality service is delivered, as defined in the contract
Work with teams cross-functionally/ geographically to meet overall goals
Develop and manage key relationships with firm and industry/ business community contacts to facilitate understanding of business/industry direction and best practices
Build and maintain relationships with key subject matter experts/ groups related to Trading Tech and the Investment Bank to ensure latest information and expertise are shared

Operating Systems – LINUX (RedHat) System Administration, Strong knowledge of kernel tuning
Programming Languages – Strong in either Perl or Python (both is a plus)
Scripting languages e.g. bash
Data Intermediaries (i.e. Reuters and Bloomberg)
Network Technologies – Solace Appliances, IP (TCP/UDP/MCAST), Switch and routing topologies
Monitoring Technologies –ITRS Geneos or others
Strong Troubleshooting Skills
Network Technologies – Ethernet and Voltaire/Infiniband Switches
Programming Languages – Shell/Python
Hardware Platforms – Storage Filesystems
Market Data Technologies – RMDS (ADH, ADS, RV, Data Routing, DACs), Bloomberg Managed Pipe, Wombat/SRLabs (Feedhandler, Superbook, MAMACache), RAICache, or OneTick Product Suite
Exchange Feeds – SIPs (UTP, CTA and OPRA), ECNs (NASDAQ TVITCH, ARCA, BATS, etc)
