As a senior role within Business Compliance in the Retail Banking domain, you will lead two specialist teams, one covering Advisory and the other, Review & Testing. As the key point of contact for business, you are expected to work closely with Group Compliance (GC) and the business segments (Personal Financial Services (PFS) and Business Banking (BB)) to manage the regulatory risks from an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Countering of Financing of Terrorism (CFT) perspective.

Your core responsibilities will cover the key areas such as:

• Advisory
o Provide operational advisories to business units, assist business units in operationalizing Compliance Policies & Guidelines / Regulatory Requirements and managing regulatory risks
o Provide advisories and supervisory services to the business unit for customer on-boarding and retention of customer relationships in accordance with Group framework
o Conduct thematic Regulatory Awareness & Training including facilitating AML/CFT training to new sales hires or relevant personnel involved in the Wealth Investment process
o Ensure the on-going review & improvement to AML/CFT training materials and Supervisors' training materials including the timely incorporation of changes in AML/CFT guidelines/recent case studies

• Review & Testing
o Develop and establish the Business Compliance Review & Testing Framework
o Ensure gaps/systemic issues are identified and recommend appropriate corrective actions for business segments’ consideration and implementation within a stipulated timeline.
o Identify and assess ML/TF/Sanction risk exposures for new business programs, and advise business on appropriate mitigating measures where applicable.
o Escalate potential regulatory breaches, products or processes that pose significant ML/TF/Sanction risks; and issues in accordance with the escalation protocol
o Conduct investigation into suspected ML/TF activities and where applicable, report suspicious activity the Group

To excel in the role, you should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
• Tertiary education with at least 8 years work of relevant work experience, preferably gained in AML/CFT or in similar capacity in the Retail Banking Domain
• Team management and leadership experience will advantageous
• You should be able to work cross functionally within the bank, and also have great interpersonal skills to work with external parties
• A self-starter who is motivated with a passion to lea
