Responsible for managing the market research function within the investment banking division; undertaking research of the economics, political, regulatory, market and competitive environment as well as internal organisational, financial, technical analysis to support the investment banking business as a whole.
Perform benchmarking, competitive assessment and data analysis.
Assist GIB Division Head in strategic planning by providing meaningful data and value-added analyses to individual business units or division as a whole.
Helps to identify business opportunities, formulate regulatory guidelines, business policies & strategies, and framework & structures for new products and services.
Assist in any ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
University degree in accountancy, banking or business-related discipline
2-4 years of banking, consultancy, research and analyst experience
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and accounting systems
High level of initiative, passion and sense of urgency who can work within tight deadlines
Good written and oral communication skills and able to interact with people of various levels
Structured, analytical thinker with good numerical skills
Able to work independently without much supervision as well as a team player when required
Knowledge of market data systems (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters) preferred
