Job Description

Assists sales teams, pre-sales teams, and senior and executive management to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Influences sales through domain or business expert credibility brought directly to ongoing sales cycles by enabling those who will be executing sales cycles or through supporting in-country business development efforts.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Business Development and Thought Leadership
• Business Development
o White space analysis and business development initiatives with clear and defined GTM strategy
o Assist in pipeline generation in collaboration with field sales, sales specialists and marketing teams
• Marketing Events
o Speaker at internal and external marketing events
o Attend relevant domain and industry meetings/conferences
• Domain/Industry Knowledge
o Develop and consolidate domain and industry knowledge for Data Management.  Including sales and pre-sales knowledge
o Regional point person for all things DM related for escalations back to SAS HQ
 
Field/Opportunity Support

• SSO Support
o DM solution input as required in solution deals
o Support DM deals:  solution value, positioning, references and competitive analysis
• Presales Advisor
o Advise sales and presales teams in solution positioning, value approach to DM and coordination point for DM resources.
o Documentation and education on closed SSO that can be repeated within regions.
o Mentoring on SSO to build more regional self sufficiency
 
Product Management  

• Product Enhancements
o Collaborate with Product Management, R&D and Regional sales teams for product positioning, roadmap influence and product strategy.
• Product Adoption
o Identify and assist with customer and partner references and enablement needs within region.
 
Solution Enablement

 
• Internal Enablement
o Lead regional product awareness with business use cases for internal resources
o Drive the regional adoption of new DM initiatives within region.  Responsible for all planning actions of adoptions, sales and support.
• External Enablement
o Lead regional product awareness with business use cases for internal resources
o Drive the regional adoption of new DM initiatives within region.  Responsible for all planning actions of adoptions, sales and support.
 
 
Requirements:
• Eight years of experience in sales, marketing, business partner relationship development, or technical functions within the technology industry (including related products and services). Experience in a specific industry, market, technology, or business initiative related to area of assignment may be substituted for experience in the technology industry.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or other quantitative field related to area of assignment.
• Knowledge of sales and product marketing techniques, business partner relationship development strategies, or technical functions within the technology industry and/or knowledge of a specific industry, market, technology, or business initiative related to area of assignment
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Public speaking experience
• Ability to work effectively in teams.
