The Regional Sales Steering and Business Development Expert initiates sales activities in the region based on the analysis and evaluation of regional-specific data. She/he identifies opportunities and threats by applying business and market intelligence. She/he consolidates various market input, multiple data sources and reports to gain valuable insights for key stakeholders. She/he is involved in the processes Sales Strategy, Sales Planning, Sales Reporting and Sales Steering
Dependent on the assignment focus the tasks include the following:

Business Analysis, Forecasting and Planning:
• Regular analysis and monitoring of market / competition, Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture performance for all segments, corporates, channels etcetera in order to identify threats and opportunities
• Contribute to the revenue and incentive forecasting process in cooperation with the Sales Steering and Business Development Experts on GP level
• Collect, review, consolidate and discuss forecast regarding deviations and influencing factors
• Contribute to the yearly planning and budgeting process (revenue, incentives, ancillary revenues, other targets) with input on market and regional level
• Initiate, implement and evaluate sales actions for all markets in the region in close cooperation with the local sales steering units
Business Development and Strategy:
• Contribute to the development of the sales strategy and its implementation in the region together with the Global Sales Strategy team
• Consolidate market information (like competitor information, OBE settings, industry developments) at region level and forward these to relevant central departments
• Support the compilation of business cases, for example: regarding different contracting models, with business intelligence, analyses and calculations
• Coordination of Network topics, where applicable

• Support the global sales reporting team with input on reporting requirements, reference data, and the development and testing of new reports
• Support and maintain quality assurance of Lufthansa Group sales tools and data sources
• Administrate reporting user roles and permissions for all relevant users in the region
• Coordinate user communication and training for his/her region in close cooperation with the Global Sales Reporting team
• Distribute sales reports from JV partners within the region
• Regional specific and ad-hoc reporting, where applicable
• Participation in other duties as assigned

Your profile
Experience and Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the airline industry and in sales or steering functions desired
• Competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge in Corona, Tableau and Tiger desirable
• Excellent command of English, German desirable
