Introduction :

Excalibur Associates is an executive search firm specializing in senior and mid-level assignments in the financial services and technology markets within Asia Pacific region.

We operate from three offices: Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. Our partners come directly from the industry where we were all front-line senior executives with broad hiring responsibilities. This experience ensures that we are able to focus not only on the importance of a streamlined hiring process but also, critically, in accurately identifying talented individuals with the right skill-sets to meet our client’s requirements.

This word “talent” is core to our search philosophy. We are convinced that the key to sustaining any profitable organization lies in its ability to acquire and retain talent. Many companies, knowingly or not, are competing with each other as they reach out to the same limited pool of the most talented individuals. We see our role as being a channel through which our clients communicate their business vision and strategic business objectives and competencies for a specific role, whilst we help them to identify and attract the best, most suitably talented, candidates.

Our speed and efficiency in successfully completing search assignments comes from our knowledge of the markets and our client’s business. As a confirmation of our track record, over 80% of our business comes from either referrals or follow-on business from our existing client-base.

The Tradition :

The name “Excalibur” was first given to King Arthur’s sword by the French Romancers. Today, many people mistakenly think that Excalibur was the famous “Sword in the Stone” (which proved that Arthur was indeed a king, but then got broken when Arthur was in battle). However, Excalibur was in fact a second sword, given to the King by the Lady of the Lake. The quality of the craftsmanship, together with the legendary deep-rooted powers of the sword, made Arthur invincible as long as he wore it.

Today, in business, it is well known that it is the quality and experience of its people that can make an organization invincible.
