Senior Relationship Manager - Tokyo

We are seeking a dynamic and driven sales professional for the following position in TOKYO.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT POSITION

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director in Japan, this role provides the opportunity to develop a professional sales career at the corporate level.

You will be managing a defined set of customers focused on Financial or Corpoarate B2B markets. Using your proven sales and account management skills, the key focus of this role is to drive new business revenue in new name prospects and to grow and retain existing customers and with the purpose to develop and deepen commercial and strategic relationships. You will be responsible for you building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities and managing the sales process from start to finish. You will have the ability to sell the full suite of Dow Jones core enterprise solutions such as Dow Jones Newswires or Factiva.com

Ideally, you will possess a degree level qualification and at least 5 years experience in a B2B sales, ideally in complex solution sales environment, be self motivated with a passion for winning. A broad understanding of the financial or corporate and online business information markets with preferably experience selling into those markets.

Also, an understanding of the internet and intranet capabilities and working knowledge of the India B2B competition is desirable. Above all, we are looking for a strong team player with proven sales record, influencing skills, initiative, and a keen interest in business.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Passionate about closing business, with a “can do” attitude and ability to work independently where needed
• Excellent communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
• High level of business awareness to help build credibility with the prospect, spot potential opportunities within a peer group or industry sector, and express the benefits of Dow Jones in the appropriate business context
• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills to ensure sales opportunities are managed to a successful conclusion
• A proven successful track record of at least 4 years in a new business role

Responsibilities:

- Maintain high levels of customers satisfaction, provide excellent level of responsiveness to clients needs.
- Manage all aspects of the customer renewal process in a timely and structured manner.
- Responsible for all areas of account management, including fact finding, resolving account issues and ensuring resolution of client requests or concerns. Identify opportunities for increased revenue.
- Clearly express the value and benefits of Dow Jones products and solutions, help to increase the value and adoption of our solutions by client.
- Manage Sales Forecast and Pipeline to ensure clear reporting of forthcoming activities and associated revenue.
- Maintain accurate client records within the global CRM system.

Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in relationship management role in MNC.
- Strong results orientation, with the commitment and drive to achieve a retention goal in a demanding and competitive business environment.
- High level of business awareness and able to spot potential opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
- Good planning skills and attention to detail, able to complete annual renewals and also implement long-term retention strategies.
